product information
Having analyzed the female form in motion and invested in research since 1973, the
technical know-how that’s taken Arena to the pinnacle of sportswear performance
is the essential foundation for a superior range of women’s sporting underwear.
With padded and adjustable straps, breathable fabrics that wick sweat away from
the
body, and an ergonomic style to maximize comfort and the efficiency of your workout,
Arena’s sports underwear is designed to give you the optimum exercise experience,
without the distractions caused by discomfort or lack of proper support. All sports
bras are available in B, C and D cup sizes.
WHY A SPORTS BRA
Designed for comfort and support, sports bras help to control breast bounce and
its consequences. Without this type of specialized support, you risk feeling pain
in the breasts themselves, as well as having discomfort in the shoulders, neck,
and back, and it can persist even after you’ve finished exercising. While normal
bras can give some support, it’s only about half of that of the sports bra, whose
design and construction take into account your movement during physical activity,
limit the movement of your breasts, and allow you to exercise without distraction.
Naturally, not all sports bras are created equal. Arena’s years of swimsuit research
has borne an intimate knowledge of how the female body reacts during workouts, an
irreplaceable foundation of sports bra design. The result is a superior range of
sports bras tailored to the rigours of the workout that will keep your shape and
keep your comfortable no matter what your chosen sport.
choosing the right size
Try on as many sports bras as necessary to find the most comfortable and supportive
fit, and to get the most out of your workout. It should fit snugly without being
too tight, there should be no lift, and the straps should be taut without leaving
any marks on your back or shoulders. If the cup of the bra creases, try a smaller
cup size. Try a larger one if your breasts bulge over the top or to the sides, if
the wire digs into your breasts, or if it stands away from your body. The band is
most likely too large if the bra does not sit straight around the body and rides
upwards at the back, or if the straps are digging in and leaving red marks. Double
check for comfort and support by making the kinds of motion you’ll be doing when
wearing it – swing your arms back and forth, bend down, jump up, twist your torso.
If the bra does not keep still and moves while you’re doing this, try a smaller
size.
BRA CHOICE AND IMPACT LEVELS
Since different sports expose breasts to diverse types of movement and stress, Arena
sports bras are available in a variety of designs, grouped into three categories
according to the impact level of your sport:
